That lingering feeling

It appears that i've reached a dead end, again.

the only few times i've ever felt so useless would be right after i screw up a test paper, or when i can't bring myself to tell my mom about university applications.

ie: right after i messed up my cal 3 test, i couldn't bring myself to relinquish my grief, and regret for my mistakes, and i find myself in no mood to study. at all.

as for university applications, well i doubt myself with my bad grades (2.64 as of now), and with my current objective to pull up my grades, well lets just say i'm now doubting myself.

maybe its just one of these days where i'm just feeling "meh" and i can't think of anything else but blogging. I dunno. Maybe it is.

Why call it Raincouver?

Kinda self-explanatory, this post. I finally realised how much fall stinks in Vancouver: When it rains, it rains for the entire day, and it disrupts a ton of outdoor activities. My plans to head over to the nearest mall to shop for nice clothes have all gone down the drain. To make things worse, my shift at the night market's been cut (Well if it rains that is). Then again, i have more time for my assignments and revision, so i guess its ok o.o

So far i'm only behind in History revision and Cal 3. The other 2 are just fine. English and Computing can't be that hard (yet). But I'm catching up in terms of my Calculus revision. (Still hate history. Period.)

Oh and THE CLEAREST RAINBOW I'VE EVER SEEN TODAY !!
OH LOOKY DOUBLE RAINBOW !!

never seen a double rainbow before so don't judge.

Till next time,

What i think about people who try to convince and convert me

This picture pretty much sums up what i really wanna spaz right in front of the 2 fellow gentlemen, dressed up as if for a life changing job interview on a sunny afternoon at the bus stop.

As they walk up to me, greeting me and asking me if i had the time to listen to what they had to say, i knew what would come next...

"We're from *censored* church, and we would like to share with you the word of *censored* ", and boy were they persistent.

As a Buddhist i am compelled to decline their offer, politely (technically anyone with a good sense of morality would politely refuse), despite having my insides boil and on the verge of emotional tantrum in front of everyone. It is not the religion that is to be blamed, it is how people interpret their religious teachings and take it to themselves the duty of spreading The Word (rather improperly).

The point is i believe every religion has one thing in common: moral teachings. From respecting your elders to do not kill innocent people during the "Holy War", its pretty obvious that the basis of morality came from religion. Then again some religions provide different ways of dealing with moral dilemmas, and i shan't bother to elaborate. Help yourself to wikipedia or some other informative source instead.

To sum it up, I will stay strong in my beliefs in Buddhism (although i did break a few rules :S), and i will do my best to smile and say "No thanks mate, i'm fine with my religion." with a happy face.

BUT BE WARNED, my patience is paper thin at times.

Post-Week one of Fall

So far as the 1st week went by in my uni...

Random Student @ my Uni : Wow, your English is impressive for a Malaysian. Most malaysians i've encountered have a very heavy accent when conversing with us

oookkkaaayyyy ... thanks?

that particular comment somewhat offended me, and made me felt proud. Its true that SOME of us malaysians have a really thick accent when conversing in any language, but it doesn't mean our english proficiency is to be underestimated. We've been learning english since Pre-school actually

On another friendlier and up to speed note, the subjects i'm taking this semester include:

Calculus 3, Pre Confederate Canadian History, Introduction to University Writing (since English 101 in my previous college is not transferable), and Introductory Computing

So far these subjects have yet to reveal their true colours, hopefully when they do i'll be able to handle them.

Also to note is the oh-so-lazy(?) management department of my current company i'm working for regarding my paycheck which i've submitted a week ago and has yet to be processed == ITS BEEN A WEEK ALREADY GET YOUR LAZY ARSES UP AND PROCESS IT.

*Rants end here*

A New Head Start, New Surroundings etc

As i opened this dusty ol blog i find myself laughing and tearing at times over the posts i made.
And it somehow just hit my head: lets restart this blog, but delete the ol posts.

I would rather start off fresh anyway. Since most of my friends and relatives are now at least 11,000 miles away.

Here i am, brushing an old blogspot, to keep myself occupied i think. Gaming doesn't really work nowadays. Plus i did promise a certain someone that i'll be back in 2 years time to my homeland Malaysia with a better body ... *stares at fats*

nothing much to say for now, expect some word soon
